David Ernst: President
David Ernst grew up in Churchill County and graduated from CCHS in 2000. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education in 2005 and went on to teach 5th through 8th grade music with the Washoe County School District. During his 9 years as a public-school teacher, David taught band, chorus, jazz band, drumline, color guard, general music, and private lessons. He also planned and managed a wide variety of performing arts activities including concerts, talent shows, overnight trips, and more.
David is an accomplished musician who has performed with the Reno Philharmonic, Reno Chamber Orchestra, Reno Pops Orchestra, Reno Wind Symphony, and many others. His stage credits include Nicely-Nicely Johnson in Guys and Dolls and Grandpa Gordon in Freaky Friday. He has also directed a youth production of Grease. Additionally, David has conducted, performed in, and orchestrated for pit orchestra in numerous productions including Fiddler on the Roof, the Wizard of Oz, Beauty and the Beast, the Nutcracker, and more.
In December 2017, David returned to Fallon with his family – wife Jamie and children Clara, Aaron and Lily. He worked for 3 and a half years with Churchill County Parks and Recreation developing programs for youth and families. As the President of PACC and a founding member, David is excited to be working to increase opportunities for performing arts in the community.
David holds dual Master’s degrees in Business Administration and Finance from the University of Nevada, Reno. He works currently as a financial advisor with First Command Financial Services and teaches music classes at Oasis Academy. David also coaches cross country at Churchill County High School and serves on the Board of Directors for the Churchill Community Coalition. In his abundant free time, David enjoys running, rock climbing, woodworking, and music.

He went on to receive his Nevada Elementary teacher license from Sierra Nevada College in Incline Village, Nevada. He taught for 28 years for the Pershing County School District in Lovelock, Nevada, and retired in June of 2022. During his time in Lovelock he co-directed twelve musicals at Lovelock Elementary School including Broadway Junior musicals such as Annie Junior, Seussical Junior, School House Rock Live Junior, and Little Mermaid Junior, along with several other smaller productions including three scripts that Tim wrote. He also has co-directed children’s summer musicals at Parkside Bible Fellowship in Fallon for the past ten years. Tim and his wife, Shayne, operated Tim’s Family Photos for several years in Fallon. Tim and Shayne photographed many of Fallon’s youth sports organizations. Tim is now enjoying his retirement years and as the Vice President and a founding member he is excited to invest time and energy into PACC.

Melissa Derby: Secretary
Melissa Derby spent most of her childhood growing up in Fallon. She graduated highschool from CCHS in 2009. While in school, she had the opportunity to play sports, sing in the choir for church and school, and participate in the local theatre productions. Some of those roles include The Coroner Munchkin in Wizard of Oz, Mabel in Pajama Game, The Sour Kangaroo in Seussical the Musical, and so many more. After high school she attended Western Nevada College for a year and then transferred to Truckee Meadows Community College where she graduated with an Associates of General Studies and a Certificate in Dental Assisting. She met her wonderful husband David Derby in 2010 and they were married in 2011. In 2012 they bought their first home in Fernley and then moved back to Fallon in 2016. Since 2012 she has had the wonderful opportunity to raise 5 beautiful girls (Sophia, Lily, Penelope, Olivia and Eleanor).
Throughout the years she has worked at a wide variety of places but her favorite job of all has been being a stay at home mom. Along with coaching her daughters' sports teams, she recently had the opportunity to star with her oldest daughter in the local production of Fiddler on the Roof. In her free time she enjoys reading a variety of books, baking, watching movies, and vacationing at Disneyland.
She feels truly honored to be a part of the PACC organization. She's grateful that she can take her passion for the stage and help organize and bring the joy of the theatre to her town that she loves so much.

Summer Stanton: Social Media Manager
Summer is so excited to be a part of PACC. She has been performing as long as she can remember, including dancing, singing, and performing in numerous productions. Summer has an Associate of Arts in Musical Theatre Performance from Casper College in Casper, Wyoming and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre Performance from the University of Utah. Summer has played such roles as Millie Dilmount in Thourghly Modern Millie, Johanna in Sweeney Todd, Connie in A Chorus Line, and Mary Magdalene in a special performance of Savior of the World in Washington DC. Recently, She played Katherine Blake in Freaky Friday here in Fallon. Summer also enjoys teaching private vocal lessons and has done so for 5 years. In addition to teaching her own four children, Summer enjoys working with and teaching children the joys of musical theatre.

Noreen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in music from Los Angeles Baptist College and a Masters degree in Educational Counseling from the University of Phoenix. She has worked with children and youth for many years, teaching music at a private school in California before coming to Fallon, and eventually working as the counselor at Numa Elementary since 2004. Noreen has enjoyed volunteering as accompanist and working on the production teams of many musicals here in Fallon, including community, high school, middle school, and elementary productions dating back to 1997. She has also assisted as accompanist for CCMS and CCHS Solo and Ensemble, and often accompanies the Northern Nevada Middle School Honor Choir. Noreen and her husband, Woody, have raised four children who all graduated from CCHS. They now enjoy spending as much time as possible with their eleven grandchildren. Noreen has a passion for both children and music, and believes that the opportunity to participate in performing arts is of great value in the lives of young people (and old people!).

Jim Souba: Board Member
Jim recently retired after over 40 years of working in the field of engineering. He holds a master’s degree in civil engineering from Purdue and is a registered professional engineer in Nevada. He served twenty years active-duty service in the Navy Civil Engineer Corps, 6 years highway engineering at the Nevada DOT, eight years as the Fallon City Engineer, and 6 years as the Deputy Public Works Officer at Naval Air Station Fallon. He is now fully retired and looking forward to becoming involved in volunteering in our community. Jim is delighted to be a board member of PACC. His wife Lori and all three of his now grown children have been involved with numerous previous theatrical productions, and he enjoyed attending every single performance over the many years. He looks forward to seeing his grandchildren shine on stage as well as they grow and thrive here in Fallon. Jim also looks forward to helping PACC grow into an organization that showcases all of the many musically talented residents of Churchill County.

Lori Souba: Board Member
Lori Souba is a registered nurse at Banner Churchill Community Hospital. She has been involved in musical productions since her family moved to Fallon in 1997 when her husband Jim, now a retired Navy Commander, was stationed at NAS Fallon. All three of her grown children (Jamie Ernst, Peter Souba and Jenni Souba) became very actively involved in band, choir, and musicals while they were attending Churchill County Jr. High and CCHS, way back when performances were done in “The Pit” at the old high school. Some of her children’s fondest memories from their school years are of grandparents travelling across the country to Fallon to see them perform on stage. Lori has been the producer for many local musicals including Annie, The Fiddler on the Roof, Oliver, Seussical, The Pajama Game, The Wizard of Oz, and The Sound of Music to name a few. Lori has four young grandchildren, three of whom live here in Fallon. She is looking forward to helping develop PACC into an organization that will give not only her grandchildren, but all children and adults in Churchill County an opportunity to explore their musical interests, develop their talents, and showcase them right here in our own wonderfully talented community.
