Fall 2025 Youth Musical Auditions & Production Information
The Performing Arts of Churchill County will be presenting the Broadway Junior musical, Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr. October 16, 17, & 18 2025 in the Fallon Theater on Maine Street. Students in grades 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 (2025/2026 schoolyear) are encouraged to audition for parts in the musical.
- Synopsis: Based on the popular, award-winning 1970s cartoons Schoolhouse Rock. A young schoolteacher, who is nervous about the first day of teaching tries to relax by watching TV, when various characters representing facets of his personality emerge from the set and show him how to win his students over with imagination and music. The show is full of memorable songs like "Just a Bill," “Three is a Magic Number,” “Unpack Your Adjectives,” "Conjunction Junction," and many more.
- Schoolhouse Rock Live! JR. is presented through special arrangement with and all authorized materials are supplied by Music Theatre International, New York, NY
- Cast Size: We will be casting up to 40 cast members.
- Auditions: Auditions will be August 19-23, 2025. All auditions will be held at Numa Elementary School, in Fallon. Each student will need to attend one small group pre-audition. The pre-auditions will be held the three evenings, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, August 19, 20, or 21 from 5:00-6;15 PM. Please sign up for one of these timeslots in your audition application. At the pre-audition sessions students will recite short sections of lines that they are to memorize, work on some simple choreography, and sing sections of songs from the musical (these will be emailed to you after we receive your audition application). We will be evaluating students during all parts of the audition process, including acting, singing, & dancing abilities as well as behavior. All students must attend one of the pre-audition sessions, as well as the whole-group auditions on Saturday, August 23rd from 9:00 to Noon. The final cast list will be posted by 6:00 PM on Saturday, August 23rd.
- Beginning August 25, 2025, rehearsals will be held every Monday, Wednesday, & Thursday from 4:30-6:15 and every Friday from 2:00-5:00 at The Wolf Center, 457 Esmeralda, in Fallon. Rehearsals will run until the production October 16, 17, & 18, 2025. In addition there will possibly Saturday rehearsals September 6 & 27, from 9:00 AM-Noon. A full dress rehearsal is scheduled Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The entire cast is required to attend this dress rehearsal. (Please see attached calendar for all dates).
- Serious Commitment: We understand that students may like to be involved in more than one activity at a time. If you have other activities that will conflict with rehearsal schedules, you will need to make a choice. If you choose to participate in Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr. you must make a serious commitment to be at all rehearsals (as much as possible). You must also commit to memorizing lines, songs, and choreography. If you cannot make this serious commitment, then do not try out.
- Makeup: All cast members will be required to wear basic stage makeup for the shows.
- A $30 fee will be charged for all cast members after the cast list is posted. This fee and a parent/student contract will be due by Friday, August 29th, 2025.
- A Student Audition Application Form (Google Form) must be turned in on the PACC website by 9:00 AM Tuesday, August 19, 2025. These forms will be available on the PACC website under the “Children’s Musical” link beginning Friday, August 1, 2025.
- After submitting your application you will receive an email response with audition information from the director, Tim Wuth. If you do not receive a follow up email within 3 days, please email [email protected] or text or call 775-427-1259.

The Performing Arts of Churchill County (PACC) will be offering a three-week summer dance camp July 7-25, 2025. The dance camp is for students who are/will be ages 9-14 on July 7th, 2025. Summer dance camp classes will be held from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM each Monday - Friday evening at the Wolf Center in Fallon, with a culminating showcase presentation and family dance party on Friday, July 25, from 6:00-7:30 PM at the amphitheater at Oats Park.
The objective is to teach kids some fundamentals and basic technique of ballet, jazz, tap, modern, and ballroom dance styles. Participants will be introduced to various styles of dance, as well as prepare kids for musical theater auditions. All registration forms must be submitted and the $30 fee paid no later than June 20, 2025. Space is limited to the first 30 students to register. After 30 students are registered, a waiting list will be created.
